Privacy Policy

Core Declaration

Rice Journey believes that your privacy should not be harvested. This is an open-source application built with the intention of quiet companionship.
We do not collect, track, store, or sell any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Location Data

The app may request access to your device's location (GPS). This data is processed strictly locally on your device to determine regional agricultural calendar differences and local rice varieties.

• Your location data is never uploaded to any of our servers.
• We do not share your location history with third parties.
• When requesting weather data from the Central Weather Administration (CWA) or Open-Meteo, your exact coordinates are not included. Only approximate weather station codes or coordinates are used.

Local Storage

In-app settings (such as whether you have read a certain knowledge card) are saved in your device's local storage (Shared Preferences). This data is not backed up to the cloud, and will be permanently deleted if you uninstall the app.

Third-party Services

We use the Taiwan Central Weather Administration (CWA) Open Data API and Open-Meteo API to fetch real-time weather. CWA is used in Taiwan, and Open-Meteo is used overseas. All requests are anonymous and contain no personal identifiers.
